GIANTS Defender Zac Williams and Midfielders Lachie Whitfield, Josh Kelly and Stephen Coniglio have been recognised for their impressive seasons by being named in the AFL Players' Association's 22under22 squad.

The four have been named in a 50-man squad selected by the AFLPA board, that recognises the AFL's best players aged 22 and under.

The final 22 will be decided by football fans in an online vote.

Kelly has played every game so far in 2016 and has averaged 23 disposals per game in a breakout year for the classy onballer.

The 2013 Number 2 draft pick has registered more disposals, marks, goals, tackles and clearances than his previous two seasons.

Coniglio's story has been similar to Kellys and the team's overall performance; going from strength to strength.

Coniglio is the most experienced of the GIANTS among the four having played 82-games.

The West Australian's last 20 outings have been outstanding, averaging 28 disposals as one of the GIANTS' biggest contributors in a star-studded midfield.

Lachie Whitfield's efforts this season haven't gone unnoticed either, with the 184cm onballer starring in the GIANTS' Round 6 win over Hawthorn with 28 disposals and two goals.

However, Whitfield's best performance this season came in the GIANTS' Round 11 loss to Geelong when he racked up 28 possessions, took 9 marks and kicked three goals.

William's has cemented himself in the GIANTS' lineup in 2016 after his first three years at the club saw him yo-yo between NEAFL and AFL.

The Academy product missed the opening two games of the 2016 season but hasn't looked back since, averaging 21 disposals, 2.4 defensive rebounds and 3.5 inside 50's per game.

GIANTS Phil Davis (2012), Callan Ward (2012), Dylan Shiel (2015) and Devon Smith (2015) have all made the Final 22under22 team since its inception in 2012.

Jeremey Cameron is the only GIANT to have made the side twice, in 2013 and 2015.

Voting closes on the 6th of September, while the team will be announced at the AFLPA MVP Awards on Tuesday 13th September.
