Four young GIANTS have been named in the 2015 22Under22 team unveiled at the AFL Players’ MVP Awards in Melbourne last night.

The GIANTS were the best represented club in the AFL with Jeremy Cameron, Adam Treloar, Dylan Shiel and Devon Smith all getting the nod.

More than 5000 fans across Australia voted for the team after the AFL Players’ Board - led by AFL Players’ President Matthew Pavlich - selected the initial squad of 47.

It’s the second time Jeremy Cameron has been selected at full forward after also being named in the 2013 side.

Cameron had his best season to date, kicking a career-high 63 goals and leading the competition for marks on the lead.

For the second consecutive year midfielder Adam Treloar was named on a wing after averaging 27.5 disposals and five tackles per game this season.

Midfielder Dylan Shiel and small forward Devon Smith made their inaugural 22Under22 team after both were named on the bench.

Shiel was dominant in the first half of the season before suffering a knee injury against St Kilda in round 15 which ruled him out for the remainder of the year.

Devon Smith finished his consistent season with 17 goals from 20 games and was awarded the GIANTS’ Defensive Standards Award at the 2015 Kevin Sheedy Medal.

Midfielder Stephen Coniglio and forward Cam McCarthy were both selected in the 47-man squad but failed to make the final cut.

To be eligible for the 22Under22 side, players must be aged 22 or under on Grand Final day that year.
